Photography © Kristofer Johnsson Every year Residence Magazine awards the Designer of the Year prize to a designer or studio that propels the Swedish design scene forward. In 2015 this prize went to Note Design Studio. The exhibition is presented at the architecture museum ArkDes in Stockholm and is curated by Lotta Agaton, one of Sweden’s leading stylists. Just yesterday I spoke about Lotta's beautiful new book in collaboration with Pia Ulin and now we're back here talking about how wonderful she is. The installation proves that Note Design Studio deserved this prize and our praises. Don't you think?

Photography © Mikael Olsson Styling: Alexandra Ogonowski The magnificent Six Walls House has been designed by Arrhov Frick Arkitektkontor in such a beautiful way that all six walls face many sides of the beautiful nature surrounding the house. The minimalistic interior create the perfect canvas for relaxation and privacy though the houses exterior is mostly made of glass. I don't know about you but I can't get enough of this.

Photography © Fabian Fabian is a designer focused on the balance between the three following factors – practicality, comfort and aesthetics. This criteria determines the shape and the outcome of his designs, resulting in simple, minimalistic and refined product. For his graduation thesis, Zeijler designed ‘Momentum’ and ‘Pūrificātum’ – two products concerned with the purity of air. I just found this really late today but this is the style of design that makes me giddy. I love seeing people re-invent in a way that it's impossible for anyone to argue that these ideas are the future. Such a brilliant job, I can't wait to see more.

Photography © Skarp Agent I've been currently loving (rather obsessing over) a show narrated by the unapologetic and always interesting, Anthony Bourdain and very often replicating some of the mind-blowing yet, simple recipes I see on the show. The Mind of a Chef is that rare and beautiful thing: an intelligent show about cooking. The show follows two great culinary figures from their home kitchens to destinations around the globe in search of ingredients, inspiration and the perfect meal. It is impossible, and I assure you of that, to watch this show and not end up feeling highly passionate about the simplest of produce. Roland Persson's photos reminded me of that feeling of respect and love for food. His spectacular use of colors and light is breath-taking. Don't you think?
